- Vacancies up 31 per cent from Aug 2025
- Small dips in new travel job seekers and placements
Are travel job vacancies on the rise?
The number of new travel job opportunities has jumped by a third from the same month last year, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment.
Vacancies rose by 31 per cent from last August but dipped by nine per cent from July 2026.
There was a fall in the number of new candidates looking for jobs in the travel industry in August with a 19 per cent dip from July as well as a four per cent decrease from August 2025.
Placements also fell last month with a nine per cent decrease from July and a 13 per cent fall from last August.
Speaking about the stats, Barbara Kolosinska, Co-Owner and Managing Director at C&M Travel Recruitment, said: "With the exception of December, August is traditionally the quietest month of the year for travel recruitment, so it's great to see job vacancies rising by a third from last year. In addition, last month had the third highest number of new travel job opportunities so far this year – which is very rare for the month of August.
"Less encouraging are the small falls in both candidates and placements, but with applicants and decision makers now returning after the summer holidays, we're hopeful that these volumes will rise as we head into autumn."
